Michelle Pash is a licensed massage practitioner, certified reflexologist and essential oil distributor helping adults and children relax, relieve stress and improve their health naturally. Pregnancy Massage: Massage during pregnancy not only makes a woman feel pampered, but offers undeniable physical benefits as well. Massage can relieve fatigue, enhance sleep, and calm an active baby. During the entire term of pregnancy, massage can stimulate blood flow, which may assist in the prevention of anemia. An increase in muscle tone and flexibility will occur, alleviating leg cramps and muscle spasms. Thai prenatal and postpartum massage utilizes hot herbal compresses to gently and deeply relax, balance and cleanse the mother's body during pregnancy and after the delivery of the baby. The use of hot herbal compresses allows the energy meridians throughout the body to be stimulated without the necessity of deep acupressure and compression found in standard Thai massage. The heat of the compresses penetrates deeply and gently, while the herbs provide a wide range of therapeutic benefits. Women with normal, low-risk pregnancies can benefit greatly from massage. However, women in high-risk pregnancies should consult with their doctor or midwife before beginning a massage therapy program. Thai Infant/Child Massage Classes: It is becoming well known in the west that touch is essential to human life. Studies and historical research are showing that babies in orphanages who are deprived of touch fail to thrive, and in fact have been known to die from lack of tactile stimulation. What has been instinctual knowledge to many parents throughout the world is now becoming scientific knowledge in the medical community. The need for touch reaches far beyond emotional comfort, and affects even the development of our brains. Infant/Child Massage can help relieve discomfort from gas, colic and constipation; improve circulation and strengthen the immune system; reduce anxiety and stress, helping baby sleep well; deepen the parent-child bond; and support healthy development of your baby’s body, mind and spirit. Reflexology: Reflexology is an ancient method of activating the body's inherent healing abilities. It is both an art and a science involving thumb and finger techniques working the reflexes and zones on the feet, hands and ears believed to correspond with all the organs and systems of the body to bring about homeostasis. The effects of regular reflexology sessions are cumulative. A session is one hour long during which, the client will be comfortably reclined with only shoes and socks removed. Essential Oils: Essential oils are nature's most unique and direct way to support all the structures and functions of the body - physical, mental, and emotional. They can be used to help infants and children as well as adults and will enhance every healthy choice you make. Michelle enjoys helping families learn how to incorporate pure therapeutic quality essential oils in their everyday lives. |
